Very fun place to chill and talk with your friends. Free drinks with alcohol option that is charged hourly. Also has food menu

Very cute little concept cafe. Basically a themed bar where you order food/drinks and are served by cute witches. They don't speak much English, but they try. You'll have a bit of a tough time if you can't speak any Japanese. Giving 4 stars for food because I didn't order any food, so I can't comment on that.

Very cozy concafe. The interior is very warm and relaxing with calm, diffuse lighting and lots of warm tones, wooden textures and quite some greenery, so it's a bit cozier than other places. The cast is very friendly. I only speak a little Japanese, but they did their best to accommodate me by speaking clearly and using simpler words. They also listened patiently while I fumbled over my words, and took the initiative to talk when needed. Of course, getting praised a lot also feels quite good. As a newcomer you'll get a lot of individual attention the first time around which is also helpful if you're a bit uncertain about things. They also leave the timesheet on the table the first time so you can be sure about what's going on (though I think this is mostly done for tourists as they didn't do it the second time I went). There is an English menu, but I'm not sure how much English the cast really speaks. They do their best though, so if you just want to check it out you can probably get away with using a translator app? The cafe uses 30min increments, so it's easy to use even for just a small break, and you can always extend. The drinks are servicable as expected for a concafe. There isn't a lot of personality to the drink menu, but you'll have a good time of you just keep ordering. Can't speak to the food or cocktails as I didn't try any, but the food looked quite appetizing from what I saw. They're also open until 5am which is fun if you're staying nearby. My only regret is that I had to leave to catch the last train (笑). Will definitely try to return in the future after learning more Japanese.

This place was a highlight of my 16 day trip to Japan. I traveled to Japan alone and my formal Japanese language education consists of a single year of college classes. The staff and other customers were friendly and I picked up a few new Japanese words and phrases. The food and drinks were good. I like the unlimited drink system because I can keep asking for "yowai"/weak drinks and not over-drink while also trying all the shochu options. The cafe is clean and I enjoyed the witch theme. The cafe layout is great for conversation or watching their television if you don't want to talk. Witches Garden is one of the few late-night cafes open until 5am when most places shut down. Except Sunday.

Really nice and friendly staff. It was fun giving it a try. The girls try their best even if you can't really speak Japanese. But at least some conversational skills are required. However, they do have an English menu.
